Ewell Observatory Planet Gallery
Earth is one of nine planets in our Solar System. The Ewell Observatory is on a quest to capture the best images of all of them. We are still trying to figure out how to take a webcam image of the Earth.

Saturn
The following image of Saturn was taken on October 23, 2003. It was imaged through an 8" LX200 GPS at F/10 with a Phillips Phillips ToUCam PCVC740K webcam. Shutter speed was set at 1/33 second at a frame rate of 15 fps. 900 images were captured and the best 130 were aligned and stacked using Registax. A slight Lucy-Richardson sharpening was applied in Images Plus with final processing adjustments made in Photoshop 7.0.

Mars
The following image of Mars was taken on August 27, 2003. It was imaged through an 8" LX200 GPS at F/10 with a Phillips Phillips ToUCam PCVC740K webcam. Shutter speed was set at 1/33 second at a frame rate of 10 fps. 600 images were captured and the best 17 were aligned and stacked using Registax. A slight Lucy-Richardson sharpening was applied in Images Plus with final processing adjustments made in Photoshop 7.0.
